Looked around for a thread like this and didn't find one, so excuse me if there was one :) Post your pics of car trails...star trails...trail trails...whatever you think fits!!!
This was my first attempt ever at this... but I like it b/c it's not perfect :)
Unfortunately we can no longer see it 'cause the link is broken :(hey hey! Amanda! That's Kickapoo Corners, I have a photo from that same location, although pointed south rather than north.

The angle is quite hard to get because the lack of flat surface, and the fence is a pain. I didn't have a shutter release for mine either so that made it difficult and it was raining. I'll have to venture up again b/c it's really a great spot to shoot from. But who needs SnS when there's Krisy Kreme on the other side :lol:No shutter release? It's got a timer though, doesn't it? Or were you using the bulb setting?Trail made of tombstones...
http://photo.lopix.com/bw/images/steppinstones.jpgIt's all about the tripod and getting it to lean in so that the chainlink fence isn't in the shot, and in particular it's about the timing. Get up there on a Friday night and wait for the lights to let out the traffic, and set the shot for 10 or so seconds. It's a bit difficult with the tripod because of both the fence and the rail that's there, but well worth the effort. I like the angle of yours, but I'm having a hard time thinking of what that circus tent is doing there on the right side. What is that? LOL
Oh, and when you're done with the shoot, you can walk down and get some SnS. ;-)http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/uberben/IMG_4249a.jpg

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/uberben/CRW_5690.jpgUsed the bulb setting and held as still as possible :lol:Nice shot Kent!!! Yours is a heck of a lot better than mine! This was my first ever attempt but I thought it turned out fair considering that :) I love the lines in yours where the cars are turning, they're perfect!!! Great work :)Hope this isn't too many, I just have quite a few I would like to share.
