The Infinite Menu question

  • Hi iv just finished making the infinite menu, but im looking to alter it slightly.

    The plan is that Instead of buttons i have pictures, when the mouse goes over these pictures i want a txt box to appear in the same location for every picture. The problem im having is that i have to include my text area (which is a movie clip) in the same location as my scrolling pictures.

    This means that my text is scrolling with my pictures, which i dont want..

    any ideas how to fix this?

    Iv included an image incase iv confuzed anyone

  • First of all, lighthugger, you forgot to attach your image. :P When you say the text box should appear in the same location for every picture, do you mean the same location relative to the total stage, or the same location relative to the pictures themselves?

    If it's to the stage, simply attach your text box movie clip to the stage or to an empty movie clip that has set _x, _y coordinates.


    BTW... you wouldn't happen to be an Alastair Reynolds fan, by any chance?...
