php safe-mode tmp question

  • In the options it states:
    If your server is running in safe_mode, you'll need to specify a directory that is CHMOD to 777 that will act as a temporary directory for uploads.
    In the textbox it has "/tmp" by default. Where does this /tmp folder need to be? Inside the admin folder? Inside the forum folder?

    Or is it a server folder that I will have to have the admin set?

  • You will want to put the full path to a folder that you have permissions to set to 777. This would normally be a folder in your web (or www) folder.
