Inline moderation authentication

  • Is it normal that I only get asked for my password if I use the dropdown at the bottom (in combination with checkboxes of threads/posts)

    So if I just edit or delete one post by clicking on the edit button, it does not ask for this? Seems illogical, wanted to ask if it's only me.

  • No, I just heard back from support. It is not supported in edit post or edit thread when you don't use the checkboxes.. (for example when you use thread tools dropdown) If it isn't supported for all mod actions I don't see the point of this at all.


  • This depends on when you accesses the Admin CP last. If it bothers you, you can turn that off here:

    Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Enable Inline Moderation Authentication -> No
