It depends on your duties. If you are designing systems, or working with designs, you should have a good foundation in calculus and control systems theory.
If you are just operating systems, I would assume algebra would be enough. That gives you practice in logical relationships.The avionics guys I worked with did not do any math work. There's alot of reading books and shooting wires (finding out if a wire is broken in the miles of wire in the airplane). For the most part though you'll just replace a bad box with a new box. This is of course dependent on the airplane and if you're on the flightline or in the back-shop, though nowadays you could be doing both.
