"I'm not good at anything" what to say back?

  • She says that she's notgood at anything. And i told her that she was a very talented person. She's got strait A's. High school she's a 11th grader. What to tell her back. or how to boost her self esteem

  • Tell her you agree with her. It doesn't seem like she would listen anyway if you told her she has talents and abilities. If you did it might just go in one ear and right out the other.

  • She may just be looking for attention,or it could be symptomatic of low self-esteem and depression, issues I'm still struggling with.

You can spell out the ways that she is talented-but it's not a rational thing, so she'd probably respond to hugs/affection-letting her know that she's personally worth a lot to you.

Also, does she have many friends at school? The need for peer acceptance is so strong at this age.

  • get her in the sheets and then lets see if shes not good at anything...
