hi everyone.
just completed the flash email form tutorial http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/flash_php_email.htm (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/../developer/actionscript/flash_php_email.htm)
i did exactly what the tutorial said ( exept for that i changed the email direccion in the .php file) but it doesnt work, the "message have been sent" message appears, but the mail doesnt arrive ever... so please someone help me, is there a different method to do that?? is the tutorial wrong??
thanx!no friend the tutorial is not wrong. u have to upload three files in a server. the swf file, the php file and the HTML file of the swf which we get after publishing the flash file. hope it will help u.Does your host support php?hi again. i've read some threads here in this forum related to the email form... they say that they have to wait like 3 minutes before the email confirmation frame appear, but in my case it appear just in the instant I press the send button... can my problem be that the file isnt sending the mail?? i have everything exactly as the tutotial said.... Im getting crazy here!!You have uploaded it all to your server and are testing it from there??if u try to send mail to hotmail sometimes it does not work... i think there is a kind of mail filter at hotmail...The code for the movie to display the page change is onClipEvent (data) which means the vars sending. I will take your example and php script and upload it to my server when I have a bit more time and I'll see if it works there!yeap! it host php. it's very strange and well its hard for you to figure out why isnt working. Maby if you have some time, make yourself the tutorial file to see if it works for you...
thanxs anywaythats the problem, i uploaded the 3 files an it work just fine, but the mail doesnt arrive never.
can it be because im using a gmail?? i dont think so because i used a hotmail acount without resultshi there. a friend of mine said that i have to send the email to the same host of the page, because by some reason the server doesnt alloud the the .php to send the mail to an external host... ill try it and inform to you guys later, thanx anyway for your help
