I had my ear pierced at the top on Saturday (four days ago now) it didn't hurt at the time, I've been sleeping on the other side, cleaing it three times a day and clipping my hair back from it. But it got hit yesterday really hard, and since then has been really red around the piercing, throbs and feels hot. Its quite painful to touch aswell. Is this normal?
Also how will I know if it does get infected, and why are you not meant to take the earring out if it gets infected? What should I do if it gets infected?
I have mine done and they stay sore for a while especially after they get hit.
Don't use peroxide that will only dry it up on the inside.
Use sea salt soaks it will help with the soreness
and clean it with antibacterial soap.
Good Luck.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...Just use salt soaks and peroxide, you'll be fine.OMG lolz I've been through the same thing... It WILL get hit and it WILL hurt! Yes, you're right don't sleep on that side, you won't be able to stand it. It's going to throb and feel hot for a while, that's because it has fever in it. Peroxide will work, unless you have no patience. If you don't want to try to heal it, then you can take it out and your cartilage just won't be pierced anymore. Just wait until your friends find out how bad it hurts you when it gets hit. They'll start hitting it on purpose lolz! But again yes that is perfectly normal! Good luck with your new piercing!
