Page Number printing !!@**#!%^!!!!

  • Hello to the Board!

    OK , this is VERY annoying and probably an easy fix that I just can't see because I've thrown the monitor into the street!!

    Anyway . . .

    Using Word 2000 and having gremlins mess with the page numbering.

    I inserted ""Page x of y"" into the first footer and it looks just like it should.

    However , the problem occurs when I print. Instead of each page being ""Page 1 of 14 , Page 2 of 14 , etc."" it prints ""Page 1 of 1 , Page 2 of 2 , Page 3 of 3"" , and so on , , , and I just don't know why. :irked:

    Please tell me it's something simple that I have overlooked in my rush to print the doc.

    Yep, I had to go out in the rain to fetch that dang monitor too.

    If you could harness the power of those pesky gremlins , then wouldn't that put a few $ in your pocket!?

    The old "monitor is in the street" syndrome.
    Tsk. Tsk.
    :)

    Tools-Options, Print tab. Uncheck Allow background printing.
    Also make sure you have the most recent updates for your version.
